I remember older threads discussing the Power level and weapon stats relationship, so there's definitely some related algorithm in the game. you can max legend, survivor and agility if you wanted and still get the guns. That is indeed a strange glitch but those DMG stats are all about 55% higher than normal. keep it at 5 or less and you get much better guns. Originally posted by Tymon:Also, it is ONLY power level that matters. simply start a new file with 'pact with rais' and farm stuffed turtle until you get enough supply packages to max out your survivor doesn't take THAT long. If you still don't believe me, try it yourself then. On a different save, that has JUST the survivor rank rather than legend rank 80.Īs you can see the base shotgun damage is almost 4k. you can max legend, survivor and agility if you wanted and still get the guns. that's it.Īs far as old town, joined a co-op partnerĪlso, it is ONLY power level that matters. And the countryside literally requires you to beat the prologue to start. These are from the merchant in the tower. So how did you get your max survival level character, with low power and agility skill trees, and low story progress, to Old Town and the Countryside? Did you join someone else's game to buy from vendors in those locations? What's weird is that you claim you made these purchases from vendors in the Slums, Old Town, and the Countryside. For example, show the vendor inventory of a shotgun higher than 2550 DMG. I'm not saying that what you're claiming isn't true, but to really prove your point you would need to show screenshots of the specific weapons with higher base DMG rating than that listed above, in the vendor's inventory, prior to purchase. Showing these weapons in your inventory isn't really proof of your claim though. Revolver - Ranger - DMG 677-2370 (quest version, not vendor purchasable Rusted version).Rifle - Advanced Police Rifle - DMG 368-1288.Shotgun - Engraved Semi-automatic - DMG 2550-8925. Your claim is that if you start a new game, don't advance the story, power, or agility trees, but farm enough DROPs to max survival level to 25, when you go to vendors you'll be able to buy higher stat firearms than are normally available in the game.įor the record, the legit DMG ranges for the highest powered firearms in the game are, (from 0 points in the Legend Firearm category, up the maximum 25 points) Originally posted by Tymon:These are the highest damage guns I was able to get using the above mentioned trick. Those DMG stats are for sure, all higher than normally available in the game, (although none of them are twice the DMG as normal), and it's the first time I've ever heard of this "trick". But either way, they're nearly twice the damage of regular firearms damage at the same legend level. So it has maxed ot legend skill tree damage bonuses. Keep in mind these are weapons that I transferred to my main save. EG: I found a police rifle that was 2004 or 2005 and so on. there are slight variations in damage that seem to be based on the merchant. the rusted ranger (Onyx thunderbolt) came from a traveling guy in the following the SMG came from the trader at the gas station, and the rifle came from the merchant at the tower in old town. EG: the shotgun came from a traveling merchant guy in the following, the german pistol came from the trader in the tower. The shops seem to sell different strength weapons even at the same power level. There might be some out there that are even more powerful. These are the highest damage guns I was able to get using the above mentioned trick. It just so happens that there are too many of these great weapons in the game, so allow us to narrow it down for you by adding even more approachable ones.Sure.
